Dr. Sebastian performed Mohs surgery on my husband yesterday. He explained all scenarios and options and answered our questions with a caring and patient manner. He, his assistants, and reception all seemed to communicate well together, and with us which was comforting. They even called today to see how husband was doing and to answer any questions. Dr. Sebastien was so quick and thorough - I felt so taken care of. All of my concerns were addressed and nothing went unnoticed by him. I was worried I was going to be waiting a long time because of the other reviews but the wait was probably 10 min max (I had a 9am appointment).

Dr. Sebastian was careful to check for skin conditions over every area of my body including scalp and feet. He had an associate in the examining room the entire time and answered every question I had. He offered suggestions when I asked about a few areas I’d like to improve. Took his time and was pleasant.

Been seeing Dr. Sebastien consistently now for at least five years, including the removal of one massive basal cell that was complex to say the least. He does a great job making sure all questions are answered, describing all options to consider, and spending sufficient time with you each visit.

Been seeing Dr Sebastian for well over 10 years now. I started seeing him when I noticed a bad looking mole appear. He diagnosed it as melanoma and helped me find a surgeon to remove it. I've been seeing him twice yearly ever since. He's very thorough in his examination and takes the time to answer all my questions. I've moved many times since those early days of seeing him (living in Spotsylvania now), but when you find the best dermatological care, you don't mind driving the extra miles to have a quick check-up.

I had been told I needed to have a cancer cell removed, but my dermatologist wasn't in my insurance. I found Dr Sebastian in Arlington & my first consult was timely. He asked about other family cancers & asked if I had an overall body check (I had). He said because I am so pale & family members have had skin cancer, I must be checked yearly . The day of the surgery, they were on time, professional & he entertained me during the procedure. While I waited for results, they fed us pizza! Extra points for thinking about patients waiting sometimes hours & need to be fed). He repeated instructions & warnings. I was impressed with his knowledge.

I have visited Dr. Sebastien twice, once for a routine assessment, and once for a brief office procedure. I have found his office to be completely organized, with an appointment reminder via email. Each visit I have been shown to an exam room within 10 minutes of my appointment. Each visit I have been seen by the Dr. within 10-15 minutes of being in the exam room. I find the Dr. to be completely cordial and engaging, and the time spent with me is entirely appropriate to the appointment - a little talk about sports or the weather, an exam, a handshake, again, completely in line with my expectations for a professional visit. I don't have any hesitation to recommend this Dr. or this office based on my two visits.

I have to respond to the Oscar the Grouch comment. He may not be as warm and fuzzy as some other doctors, but Dr. Sebastien's diagnostic skills and professional reputation are second to none. If you want the absolute best dermatologist in the region, or have any suspicious moles, I highly recommend that you make an appointment with Dr. Sebastien. He is a Mohr's expert and will catch things before they progress. I have been his patient more than 10 years, and trust him very much.

First time ever that I've gone to any physician's office on time, filled out paperwork, had a nice chat with the receptionist, lead into the examining room, met with doctor within five minutes, excellent rapport, no nonsense, listened to our concerns and explained procedures, and left, all within 45 minutes! Dr. Sebastien is an excellent doctor. I was seeing another dermatologist about a large mole that looked like melanoma but the doctor was not concerned and said we should watch it. I mentioned this to my family doctor and he referred me to Dr. Sebastien. Dr. Sebastien took one look and said that it time to stop waiting to see what it was and have it biopsied. The results came back as melanoma. Since then I have had a number of moles biopsied and removed. After a couple of 6 month checkups that showed me to be clean they transferred to another doctor in the practice. Overall I am very happy. I have read other comments about his practice and I can say that sometime I have had to wait awhile before being seen by the doctor but I find this a normal practice with other doctors that I see.
