Mohs surgery is a precise surgical technique used to treat skin cancer, particularly basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. During the procedure, thin layers of cancer-containing skin are progressively removed and examined until only cancer-free tissue remains, minimizing damage to healthy skin. It offers high cure rates while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible, making it ideal for tumors with high-risk locations or recurrent growths.
